Buying a home can be a stressful experience, with so many unknowns presenting themselves. So, I’d like to remove some of the mystery and introduce myself.
My name is Tom Deutsch and I am a lifelong resident of the Cincinnati area. I graduated from Roger Bacon High School and the University of Cincinnati and currently reside in West Chester.
My love of buildings and structures took hold early. My father was a full-time firefighter and a part-time builder/handyman. From him, I learned not only how to swing a hammer and sling drywall mud, but more importantly I absorbed an understanding of how buildings work. Taking things apart and putting them back together is a great way to demystify, and so I became familiar with electrical wiring, framing, finishing and plumbing, which has served me well as a homeowner and in business.
I have found that the role of home inspector requires technical knowledge, communication skills and listening in equal measure. I understand that you are not my audience or my student, you are my client. I can’t simply follow a template or checklist, I need to listen for your needs and priorities so that I can be your advocate and bring real value to the table.
